Torn your ACL? Send us your story.
You may have heard聽or read about the聽 published in that found聽no difference between surgical repair of a torn聽 (ACL) and taking a rehab-only approach.
Some of our favorite sports stars here in New England have torn their ACLs recently, including聽, a聽receiver for the Patriots, and , a聽center for the Celtics. Both Welker and Perkins had surgery.
Of course, it鈥檚 not聽just elite pro athletes聽who suffer this injury.聽Plenty of us lesser mortals rip the ligament playing basketball at the Y, skiing at a nearby mountain, or just horsing around聽with the kids.
We鈥檙e working on an article about聽ACL tears for an upcoming issue of the 天博体育 Letter.
